Arinze-Umeobi Appointed Acting VC Of UNIZIK – Independent Newspaper Nigeria
Image Credit: independent- Professor Carol Arinze-Umeobi has been reappointed as Acting Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, effective May 19, 2025.
- Her appointment follows a Senate nomination and Governing Council approval, in line with Nigeria’s Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act.
- The Federal Ministry of Education endorsed the appointment, confirming adherence to due process and expressing confidence in her leadership.
- Her term is limited to six months or until a substantive Vice Chancellor is appointed.
