Anglican Bishop Warns Tinubu: 2027 Election Will Reject APC Defectors, Says Nigerians Decide Future
Anglican Bishop Ephraim Ikeakor criticised Nigerian politicians for prioritising personal gain over public welfare and for frequently defecting to the ruling APC despite its negative impact on Nigerians.
He described politicians as lacking clear political ideology and condemned their support for the APC’s continuation in power as “stupidity in the highest order.”
The bishop warned President Tinubu that defections by governors and lawmakers to the APC do not reflect the will of the masses, who will ultimately determine the outcome of the 2027 elections.
Bishop Ikeakor also expressed concern over Nigeria’s direction under the APC, highlighting widespread hardship, while Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang denied plans to defect from the PDP to the APC despite political pressure.
