Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation and ex-Rivers State Governor, revealed his reluctance to visit Rivers State due to the neglect of major projects he initiated while in office.

He expressed frustration over the abandonment of infrastructure including flyovers, free education, schools, health facilities, and a sports village, now left to decay.

Amaechi criticized the current political governance as regressive and accused INEC under Prof. Mahmood Yakubu of bias, contrasting it with the more principled leadership of former INEC head Attahiru Jega.

He declined to comment on speculations about new political coalitions ahead of the 2027 elections.
