Akpabio Welcomes Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno to APC, Hails Move for National Unity and Development
Image Credit: vanguardngrSenate President Godswill Akpabio has congratulated Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State for joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), seeing it as a move to enhance unity and development with the federal government.
Akpabio, speaking through his wife Uloma at the declaration ceremony in Uyo, expressed optimism that the transition will smooth the path to progress in the state.
State officials including the executive council, House of Assembly, National Assembly caucus, and local government chairmen pledged their support for Governor Eno’s decision and leadership.
The event was attended by prominent politicians and party leaders, while only one commissioner, Ini Ememobong, publicly confirmed resignation amidst rumors.
