Police make breakthrough in missing journalist case

Four suspects were arrested in a cross-province operation by Gauteng and Mpumalanga police in connection with the disappearance of journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner, Zodwa Mdhluli.
The case has been reclassified from a missing persons inquiry to kidnapping and car hijacking, with additional charges of house robbery and possession of stolen property expected.
Two Volkswagen Citi Golfs linked to the suspects were confiscated, and one suspect is identified as a mechanic involved with vehicle parts believed to be connected to the case.
Authorities continue the search for the couple and other suspects, with multidisciplinary police units involved, while government officials have expressed support for the investigation and the family.
