Woman in court for marrying TWO husbands

A woman named Harira Muhammad Tudun Murtala was arraigned before a Kano Upper Shari’a Court for allegedly marrying two husbands simultaneously.
Her first husband, Sagiru Shuaibu T/Murtala, discovered the second husband, Bello Abdullahi Yankaba, on his matrimonial bed and alerted neighbors.
The woman initially denied being married to her first husband but retracted after swearing by the Qur’an in court.
The court ordered further police investigation and remanded the woman and second husband until May 16.
