The Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) plans to initiate discussions with Dangote Refinery and regulators, including the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, regarding nationwide distribution of premium motor spirit.

MEMAN’s Executive Secretary, Clement Isong, revealed this during a webinar, noting their members are still studying Dangote Refinery’s forward integration strategy, set to start distribution from August 15, 2025.

Isong praised Dangote Refinery’s use of compressed natural gas trucks for fuel distribution and emphasized the need for dialogue among all stakeholders.

Meanwhile, amid rising global crude oil prices due to tensions between Israel and Iran, petrol prices have increased in parts of Nigeria, with some Abuja stations raising prices from N910 to N955 per litre.
