Zamfara Launches Nigeria’s First Digital Literacy Framework to Boost Digital Skills and Innovation
Zamfara State has become the first Nigerian state to adopt a Digital Literacy Framework (ZDLF) to promote digital skills for economic growth, e-governance, and innovation.
The framework was launched at a stakeholder engagement involving federal institutions, lawmakers, academia, and private sectors in Gusau, Zamfara’s capital.
Governor Dauda Lawal highlighted partnerships with Oracle Corporation to train youth in AI, Cloud computing, and data science, and announced the commencement of the Zamfara Institute of Information Technology as a regional ICT hub.
Senator Ikra Aliyu Bilbis commended Zamfara’s initiative and donated 300 computers to support digital transformation across government agencies.
