1. Job Title: Business Referral & Service Matching Associate

About us:

Youth Empowerment Synergy (YES-Ghana) is an ECOSOC-accredited NGO at the forefront of youth development policy, practice and research in Ghana. For more than 15 years, we have provided tailored skills training for youth, leading to improvements in their leadership, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and life planning skills. Through our service delivery, we have provided education, skills training, and technical support to thousands of youth and helped them transition to self and wage employment. Our research has contributed to filling the gap in youth data and the evidence base for public policy. And, we continue to use our national appeal and grassroots

constituency, through our Voices of Youth Coalition, to advocate and campaign for youth-inclusive policies at all levels. We are entering an exciting phase of growth at YES-Ghana and are looking for new people to help take us forward.

Purpose of the role:

• The Business Referral & Service Matching Associate will take lead in the deployment and management of a new application-based platform that will connect youth artisans and service users. Through this system, users will be able to request the services of pre-screened youth artisans using a mobile application, a USSD short code, or a dedicated call centre. The Business Referral & Service Matching Associate will lead marketing, creating profiles for young entrepreneurs and users, administering user enquiries and orders, matching services, monitoring performance and troubleshooting customer problems of the system.

Responsibilities:

• Manage overall deployment of the application-based platform for youth services, including coordinating the overall user experience across all platforms – mobile app, USSD, and call centre
• Spearhead marketing and promotion activities of the business referral and service matching system with the aim of attracting users
• Liaise with respective statutory institutions, private sector bodies, and professional associations to assess youth artisan qualifications and experience to perform their respective artisanal offerings
• Perform background checks on all youth artisans and prepare security reports on all youth artisans
• Organise onboarding sessions for all users, including in areas of managing requests, pricing, documentation, communications, time management, security, health and safety, among others
• Create user profiles for young artisans and entrepreneurs, as well as service users
• Administer user enquiries and matching of services and requests
• Track all pending, active and completed requests
• Troubleshoot user problems

2. Job Title: Skills Hub Assistant

Purpose of the role:

• As a Skills Hub Assistant, you will join a strong team of motivators who view innovation and skills building as a way to unlock the ideas of young people through youth-centred design, and creating the right conditions for innovation to flourish. You will provide administrative and operational support across a wide range of Hub activities including events, training, and front desk management. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Content development: support identification and shaping of meaningful content within the organisation and the youth community to highlight via the organisation’s digital channels; support the production of content for digital activities, including multimedia content for website and social media platforms, action alerts, donor appeals and other electronic grassroots communications
• Website management: backstop all aspects of web management to increase traffic to site and

Responsibilities:

i. Driving

• Drive vehicle for official travel and business, or as requested by supervisor
• Maintain high standard of service to both internal staff and external guests
• Ensure punctuality and safe transportation
• Observe the road and traffic laws and regulations of the Republic of Ghana
• Ensure strict adherence to safe driving practices including driving codes and standards
• Ensure that no alcohol is consumed or present whilst on duty

ii. Vehicle security & maintenance

• Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times
• Ensure vehicle is kept secure at all times
• Ensure vehicle is given regular/day-to-day maintenance checks: check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, etc
• Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly based official manufacturer’s specifications

• Photocopying, filing, handling mail, delivering goods and correspondences, carrying parcels, packages, and delivery and collection of official documents as required
• Assisting in organising and maintaining the library system; arranging meetings, training and workshop activities
• Maintaining office storage space (ensuring it is clean, secure, dry and orderly)

iv. Organisational development

• Participate in team building activities of YES-Ghana and contribute to the development and
