1. Job Title: Senior Manager, Legal and Enforcement
Job Purpose:
• To provide the necessary legal advice and support services to the Management and employees on the implementation of applicable laws and best practices to achieve the objectives of the Commission.
Some Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Provide interpretation and assist with the implementation of relevant laws, regulations, and directives relating to the work of the SEC.
• Represent the Commission in Litigation either with the Commission’s Legal Team or with its External Solicitors.
• Conduct extensive legal research and analysis and to provide legal opinions when required.
• Handle, formulate and draft legislation, Codes, Directives, Guidelines, Circulars, etc, and amendment thereof as required by the SEC.
• Ensure the compliance by market operators with the provisions of the securities industry laws, Codes, Directives, Guidelines, Circulars, etc including licensing of the market operators
• Assist in Instructing, liaising, and evaluating external solicitors in the provision of services to the Commission.
• Prepare contracts and other legal documents to protect the interest of the Commission.
• Monitor the evolution of the regulatory framework, make impact analysis and update management.
• Identify legal risks for the Commission and provide advice.
• Provide corrective action in cases where laws have been ignored or misconstrued.
• Resolve problems in cases where laws have been ignored or misconstrued.
• Provide Company Secretarial Services in the absence of the Board Secretary.
• Work under the Head, Legal and Enforcement, and with other members of the department and other departments when required etc.
Qualification Required & Experience
Educational, Professional Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Professional qualification in Law (BL)
• Must have an MBA or masters in Law (LLM) in a field relevant to the work of the SEC
• Must be a member of the Ghana Bar Association and in good standing.
• Must be 12 years or more at the Bar with relevant work experience, four (4) of which must be a similar position in a reputable organisation.
Technical, Managerial & Behavioural Skills Required:
• Knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, Codes, Directives, Guidelines, and Circulars relating to securities market operations.
• Knowledge and experience in securities market operations.

2. Job Title: Senior Manager, Exchanges and Markets
Job Purpose:
• To be the focal person for the Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt System Project and shall provide leadership, technical and operational direction for the attainment of the objectives of the Commodity Exchange Unit of the Commission.
Some Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the Commodity Exchange plan and strategies.
• Coach, mentor, and train the staff of the Commodity Exchange unit.
• Ensure the effective running of the Commodity Exchange unit.
• Evaluate the operational effectiveness of the Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt system and make recommendations for improvement.
• Enforce securities laws, regulations, rules, and best practices of the Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipts system.
• Conduct surveillance of trades and investigate abusive trade practices.
• Conduct on-site and off-site inspections of Commodity Exchange, Self-Regulated Organisations for the Warehouse Receipt System, and commodity market operators.
• Process license and new product applications.
• Develop programmes of work for inspections and trade surveillance.
• Lead consultations with stakeholders.
• Develop and/or make contributions to draft Laws, Regulations, and procedure manual.
• Contribute to the strategic document of the Commodity Exchange unit, department, and the Commission.
• Enhance output by strict application of the law to issues etc.
Qualification Required & Experience
Educational, Professional Qualification and Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or any other relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution.
• Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an advantage.
• A minimum of twelve (12) years post-Bachelor’s degree relevant work experience, four (4) of which must be in similar position in a reputable organisation.
Technical, Managerial & Behavioural Skills Required:
• Must have working experience in Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt system practices and/or regulation.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in securities market regulation with emphasis on Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt systems.
• Strong track-record in Warehouse Receipt and Commodity Exchange practices, procedures, and regulation.
• Demonstrable understanding of policies and procedures for the operation of Commodity Exchange and Warehouse Receipt systems.
• Strong managerial and administrative competence.
• Knowledge and experience in the securities industry.

3. Job Title: Senior Manager, Communications and External Affairs
Job Purpose:
• To provide leadership in managing and directing the Commission’s communications and international relations by designing plans and implementing strategies that foster or enhance good relations with all stakeholders within and outside Ghana including capital market regulators in other jurisdictions and International Organisations to achieve the objectives of the Commission.
Some Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
• Identify the communication needs of the Commission and promote communication flow within and outside the Commission.
• Design and implement annual communication plans and strategies for the Commission.
• Serve as the Commission’s spokesperson.
• Undertake activities that will improve upon the image and reputation of the Commission
• Conduct feedback, media, and public opinion based research on the Commission and proffer appropriate recommendations for corrective action.
• Manage the content of the website and all other social media handles of the Commission.
• Design, edit, and update promotional and investor educational materials, publications, brochures, videos, social media posts.
