1. Job Title: Grants Advisor (Ghana Mental Health And Disability Programme)

Job Description
The Programme
The UK Department for International Development in Ghana (DFID Ghana) funded Disability and Mental Health Programme which this role will contribute to, aims to support people with disabilities, including mental health disabilities, neurological and substance use conditions (MNS) to improve their health and wellbeing and ensure they are engaged, empowered and able to enjoy improved social and economic outcomes and rights. The four key outputs of the Programme include:
- Stronger policy, leadership, resources and governance systems that respect the rights of people with disabilities, including people with mental health disabilities
- Scaled-up quality, integrated, disability inclusive community-based and recovery oriented mental health and social services
- Reduction in negative and discriminatory attitudes, behaviours and norms against people with disabilities, including mental health disabilities
- Evidence generated to inform policy, practice and enabling environment
Summary purpose and objective of role
Options Consultancy seeks a Grants Advisor to lead the overall grants component of the programme. He/she will lead a team to assess, oversee and manage grantees, including supporting the development and delivery against work plans and objectives.
The Grants Advisor will be accountable for ensuring that the grants component of the programme cohesively connects comprehensive technical assistance and the overarching programme approach to the grants and grantees. Grantees will be CSOs, with a particular focus on Disabled People’s Organisations and Self-Help Groups, as well as research institutions.
The Grants Advisor will ensure best practice is in place and that all grants are in line with Options and the designed programme management approach. The technical division of the grants team (under the Grants Advisor’s direction) will support grants to organisations for community-based initiatives, advocacy, campaigns to reduce stigma and discrimination, and operations research.

Required Skills or Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Grant management experience, particularly with CSOs
- Experience on the development and implementation of programmes within the health sector in Ghana
- Excellent financial and people management skills
- Experience in designing and coordinating delivery of CSO capacity building plans
- Experience in setting-up processes and procedures, and communicating these to external audiences often in remote locations
- Proven experience in planning, budgeting and programme control
- Proven experience in risk and change management
- Experience in Knowledge Management, including peer to peer learning

Summary purpose and objective of role
Options Consultancy seeks an Assistant Programme Manager to join our Programme Management Team to play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Mental Health and Disability programme in Ghana.
The Assistant Programme Manager will be responsible for providing programmatic, operational financial and administrative assistance to the Mental Health and Disability programme, ensuring it is delivered effectively, efficiently and to a high standard. This includes supporting the management of the operations and logistics, office management support, programme budget, providing inputs to programme reports and developing project management systems.
The Assistant Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Manager who will have an overview of their responsibilities. They will have the opportunity to directly engage with the programme team based in Ghana and occasionally with the UK based team in order to successfully delivering complex, global health programmes.
This position is line managed by a Programme Manager within the Programme Management team and will be based in the programme office in Accra, Ghana.
Required Skills or Experience
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience of supporting a health, disability and/or mental health programme for at least one year with demonstrable experience supporting and coordinating technical work in similar organisations
- Experience in budgeting, project planning, financial and narrative report writing
- Experience of managing donor-funded budgets
- Experience of managing complex logistics arrangements for programmes, including international travel

Summary purpose and objective of role:
Options Consultancy seeks a Communications Manager to join our Mental Health and Disability Programme in Ghana. This role has a core focus on strategy and branding for the programme along with digital, internal and external engagement approaches.
The Communications Manager will develop, coordinate and implement the communications strategy in order to raise the profile of the programme and deliver targeted dissemination activities of programme learnings.
The Communications Manager will also work closely with the Team Leader to enhance the reach and uptake of all internal and external communications activities. They will also develop and adjust the communications strategy to ensure continuous alignment with the programme strategy and approach.
S/he will be responsible for coordinating and proactively engaging with the programme team in order to promote and identify learnings within the programme, opportunities for synergies and opportunities for external communication.
Person Specification:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies
- Proven track record in developing approach and managing the production of international development/programme materials
- Technical understanding of international development, health issues and/or disability and mental health
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal presentation and copy writing skills
- An excellent writer and editor, skilled at distilling and interpreting large amounts of technical information for a range of audiences
- Ability to work well in a diverse, international environment and work with colleagues across the globe
- Ability to use Adobe design programmes, including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
