1. Job Title: Senior Technologist (SID)
The Centre for Plant Medicine Research, Mampong-Akuapem is an Agency under the Ministry of Health with a mandate to undertake research and development in plant medicine.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ghanaians for the following appointment: Senior Technologist (SID)
Duties
• Monitoring and evaluation of Research Progress/research performance and other indicators (using template form).
• Facilitation of Product launch.
• Facilitation of Book Launch by Staff.
• Publications, disseminations and translation of officers/ staff innovations.
• Institutional subscriptions (Journals, Societies etc.)
• Technical Support for herbalists (advice on product registration, good manufacturing practices, resource persons/staff, etc.)
• Support Research staff with relevant scientific data/information
• Grant proposal development
Qualification Required & Experience
• MA/MPHIL in Information Studies
• One (1) year post qualification experience, for MPHIL. Two (2) years for MA.
Other Skills
• Applicant must have an understanding of Information System analyses, design and evaluation
• Must be conversant with ICT in the theory and practices of Archives Management and Electronics Records Management.
• Referencing and Information Sources Cataloguing
• Fundraising skills

Remuneration shall be subject to the condition of service of the Centre and shall be subject to the Single Spine Salary Structure.

2. Job Title: Botanist / Taxonomist
Duties
• Research into plant systematics and cultivation
• Cultivation of specific medicinal plants species
• Conservation of medicinal plants species in the arboreta
• Sourcing of medicinal plants species from the wild and identification of crude drugs
• Ensure appropriate documentation and management of research data
• Keeping of the herbarium
• Disseminate Research findings. Perform administrative duties
• Sourcing for funding for research
• At least 3 publications should be presented during the interview
• Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director
Qualification Required & Experience
• PhD or MPhil in Botany/Taxonomy
• At least one-year (1) post-qualification experience for PhD and two (2) years post-qualification experience for MPhil.

4. Job Title: Technologist (SID)
Duties
Assist the Public Relations Officer to:
• Plan, implement. monitor and upgrade the organisation’s website.
• Respond to and trouble-shoot all website issues.
• Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.
• Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and duplicate information.
• Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
• Improve the user experience of the website regularly.
• Proficiency in the Development of Mobile Applications would be an added advantage.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering with a major in software
• One-year post qualification experience
• Expert in Macromedia Suite, Adobe Suite, Content Management Systems and W3C Web standards.
Other Skills
• Applicant must have an analytical mind and detailed understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
• Must be conversant with Website content creation with sound writing skills.
• Excellent understanding of Content Management System (CMS) and technology infrastructures using CSS, Firewalls. IDS/ IPS, Web-Proxy and Security Audits
