Ogun Residents Urged to End Plastic Pollution on World Environment Day 2025
The Nigeria Environmental Society (NES), Abeokuta chapter, has urged Ogun State residents to properly manage plastic waste to curb pollution and promote a safer environment.
Chairman Badmus Jamiu emphasized the long-lasting harmful impact of plastics on health and the environment during the 2025 World Environment Day themed “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution.”
Jamiu encouraged participation in government initiatives like Ogun State’s Blue Box Programme and recommended separating plastics from regular waste for recycling purposes.
He highlighted the environmental significance, calling for respect and care to preserve the environment, which is vital for human survival.
