The Mazi Organisation (TMO) has condemned Imo State’s poor Value Added Tax (VAT) ranking, where it placed 35th out of 36 states with only N2.34 billion in VAT revenue for Q1 2025.

TMO criticized Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration for failing to create a conducive economic environment and called for revitalizing key industries and establishing industrial parks across the state.

The organization emphasized the need for policies focused on job creation, industrialization, and collaboration with private sector players to boost economic growth.

TMO warned that the VAT performance reflects weak strategic leadership and urged citizens to consider leadership changes in upcoming elections for sustainable development.
