Leicester City charged by Premier League over alleged financial breaches in 2023-24
Leicester City Football Club has been charged by the Premier League for alleged breaches of the EFL Championship Profit and Sustainability Rules during the 2023-24 season.
The case was referred to an independent commission after the Premier League gained jurisdiction following Leicester’s relegation to the Championship.
If found guilty, Leicester could face a points deduction in the upcoming Championship season.
The club has stated its intention to cooperate with the investigation, having previously won a legal appeal preventing charges for breaches during their 2022-23 Premier League campaign.
