Former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed his exit from the club was influenced by their Champions League quarterfinal loss to Arsenal.
He cited disappointing results across multiple competitions, including La Liga and Copa del Rey losses to Barcelona, as reasons for stepping down.
Ancelotti confirmed that after a serious discussion with Real Madrid’s management, it was decided that a change was necessary for the club and for him to pursue the national team coaching role with Brazil.
Subsequently, Real Madrid appointed Xabi Alonso as the new manager.
