Cross River Community Celebrates New Borehole Ending Long Water Scarcity Struggle
The people of Osusuokpor community in Ikom LGA, Cross River State, have gained access to clean drinking water through a newly commissioned borehole.
The community chairman, Randy Njan, highlighted the previous hardship where women and children had to travel long distances to neighboring Obubra LGA to fetch water.
Samuel Neji Abang, the community’s representative in the State House of Assembly, commissioned the project, marking a significant development after years of neglect since 1999.
The Local Council Secretary urged residents to protect this vital facility from vandalism to ensure lasting benefits.
