Confusion at KASU as ASUU denies calling off strike

- Governor Uba Sani approved payments totaling N196 million to address staff welfare and withheld salaries related to SIWES, which led to the claimed strike suspension.
- A reconciliation committee led by Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Balarabe was established to engage university unions and resolve institutional issues.
- However, ASUU-KASU refuted the Vice-Chancellor’s announcement, stating that the union, not the university management, has the authority to declare or suspend strikes, urging the public to disregard the management’s statement.
