Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno Defects to APC, Expects Widespread Support
Image Credit: vanguardngrGovernor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has announced his defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after extensive consultations with stakeholders across the state.
He expressed gratitude to the PDP for their support during his tenure and emphasized that his move is a forward-looking decision aimed at benefiting Akwa Ibom.
Eno pledged inclusivity in governance and support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and reform agenda.
The defection event was attended by APC governors from regions including the South West, South South, and South East of Nigeria.
